This photograph is part of a series taken on 35mm film in New York City. This photo was shot on Kodak colour negative film. The exposed film became water-damaged. The resulting images display many imperfections as a consequence, including discolouration and cracked emulsion. Due to the emulsion being delicate, scans were made with artefacts and drying marks still present on the film. The damage is part of the story of the images and, as is the case with this photograph, adds an interesting characteristic to the photos that cannot be replicated.
